Rules for a club that still lets the weather speak first.

Current season100 candidates · 25 EUR · Monchique 2026

These rules describe the intended MVP operation. Final legal, refund, and privacy terms still need counsel/product approval before paid launch.

Season Candidacy

Buying the bell, not the table.

What is a 2026 Season Candidacy?

It is the right to be considered for private Sunset Club offers during the 2026 season. It does not guarantee a dinner, a date, or a sunset obedient enough to deserve a table.

How many candidates are accepted?

The founding Monchique season is limited to 100 Season Candidates. Once the circle is full, the door becomes a waitlist.

What does the candidacy cost?

The 2026 Season Candidacy is 25 EUR. The dinner itself is priced separately when a specific evening opens.

Can I buy a dinner directly?

No. The Club first needs a promising sky, your availability window, and manual approval. Direct restaurant-style booking would be efficient, and therefore suspicious.

Daily Offers

The 11:00 sky call.

How do daily offers work?

On promising days, KOSACK LDA decides around 11:00 whether the evening may open. Eligible active members receive a private link by email, and later optionally WhatsApp if they opted in.

Who receives the link?

Normal sunset dinner offers go only to active Candidates or Alumni whose saved availability window includes that date. Specials may override this filter when the Club deliberately curates a wider audience.

Who gets the table?

One table opens. The first eligible person who completes the event checkout and card payment gets that night.

What if I miss the link?

Then the mountain remains emotionally unavailable. Your candidacy continues for the season, but that particular evening belongs to whoever confirmed first.

Profile

Tell the Club when you are actually here.

Why do I need an account?

Your account holds your profile, membership status, and up to three availability windows. Without that, the Club cannot know when it is worth disturbing you.

How many availability windows can I enter?

Up to three date ranges per season. Each range needs a start and end date inside the active season year.

Do I need WhatsApp?

No. Email is the default. WhatsApp is optional and requires explicit opt-in, because even secret-ish societies should not behave like spam.

Can I edit my profile later?

Yes. The account area is designed so members can update name, WhatsApp preference, and availability windows as travel plans become less theoretical.

Alumni

What happens when you make it.

When do I become a member?

You become a member only after you actually attend a Sunset Club evening in Monchique. Until then, you are a Candidate.

What is the alumni ritual?

If guests want it, the Club takes a photo, prints a membership card with the sunset from that evening, and issues a signed Certificate of Sunset as proof that the mountain admitted them.

Is alumni status lifetime?

The product direction is Lifetime Alumni with annual good-standing privileges. The exact annual fee and lapsed-status rules are operational/legal TODOs before full launch.

Will the site show how many members exist?

Yes. The system already reserves space for alumni counts. Once the registry is live, the Club can publicly show how many people made it to the mountain.

Perseid Nights

The August exception with twelve seats.

What are The Perseid Nights?

A member-only August special around August 11-13, 2026: twelve adults, dinner on the mountain, and shooting stars if the sky keeps its appointment.

Who gets priority?

Active Alumni get priority access first. Active Season Candidates may follow if capacity remains and the Club opens the candidate window.

Can I bring guests?

For Perseid Nights, the MVP rule is self +1, adults only. This keeps the night intimate and prevents the sky from feeling like a conference venue.

Is there a special artefact?

Yes. Perseid attendance can create a Certificate of Starlight record, separate from the normal Sunset alumni artefact.

Weather & Terms

The sky has veto rights.

What if the sunset is not excellent?

Then dinner does not happen. The Club does not do average sunsets, forced romance, or polite disappointment with cutlery.

What if I confirm a dinner and do not show up?

The intended operating rule is that confirmed no-shows forfeit the event payment because the single table cannot simply be moved. Final wording belongs in the legal terms.

What if I try all year and never get a place?

The intended ritual is that verified good-faith attempts may earn a consolation path, such as a free following-year candidacy or a weather-was-against-me artefact. This remains an operational rule to finalize.

Is this a formal legal club?

No formal association is being claimed in v1. "Club" is the story and operating ritual. Legal, refund, privacy, and payment language still need final approval.
